Jason Howe named new boys soccer Head Coach
St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School is pleased to announce Jason Howe has been named the new boys soccer Head Coach. Jason will replace Jamiur King, who recently stepped down from the position.
“Please join me in thanking Coach King for his eight years of running the boys soccer program,” said Goretti Athletic Director David Blenckstone. “He has been a great mentor to Goretti athletes and is the proud father of two Goretti alumni, Shea ‘12 and Zoie ‘19. His presence on the soccer field and at many other Goretti events will be missed.”
Coach Howe has been an assistant coach for the Gaels for the past three seasons. He is currently involved with the West Virginia Futbol Club, serving as a coach and on the player development committee and for the past four years has been a head coach for the boys West Virginia Olympic Development Program. Jason also serves as the Soccer Coordinator for Martinsburg-Berkeley (WV) County Parks and Recreation.
“I want to thank the Goretti administration and the Goretti soccer family for the opportunity to continue coaching soccer,” said Coach Howe. “I look forward to working with school administrators and continuing the growth of the program. We have a group of talented young men on and off the field and I am excited for the future.”
