Goretti Alumnae, Lauren Lindsey, on exhibition at W.C.M.F.A.
A life-sized, full-length painted portrait by Philip Lindsey, M.F.A., Professor of Fine Arts, Wilson College, of a Goretti alumnae will be on exhibition at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The subject, Lauren Lindsey, Goretti Valedictorian, class of 2020, proudly wears her Goretti lacrosse team uniform.
The exhibition opens February 19, with a reception from 2:00 - 4:00, and runs through April 24, 2022.
The portrait commemorates Lauren’s passion for lacrosse, but also her love for St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School, her teammates and the lesson learned on and off the field in a time of a global pandemic. The portrait celebrates what Lauren accomplished in her time at Goretti, and scratches at the complexity of the time in which we live.
