Tuition, Grants & Aid
Tuition Rates
By choosing a Catholic school, a family is choosing to invest in a child's future. A future of college and career success, but more importantly the daily reminder to strive towards an eternal reward in heaven. A Catholic school education is a financial investment, and our graduates and their families would attest that it is well worth it!
St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School works to make Catholic education affordable and accessible for all families who seek it. Please see below for tuition, grant and aid, and scholarship information.
2022-2023 Tuition Cost: $16,550
Grants, & Aid
St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School understands the financial commitment and sacrifice families undertake in deciding to send their children to a Catholic school. Although paying for education is first and foremost the responsibility of a family, schools, and parishes, as well as the Archdiocese of Baltimore, devote significant funds each year to financial aid programs that help assist families. In turn, our school community benefits by attracting students who otherwise would not be able to attend.
FACTS
FACTS is the tuition management and grant and aid platform used by the schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. All families are asked to create an account with FACTS to manage their tuition payments. The grant and aid application is housed on the same platform for every school, parish, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore assistance. Therefore, a family needs to apply only once for possible support from these various sources. Read more information about FACTS.
Deadlines for Filing:
Families need to complete the FACTS Application Process by the last day in February in order to be eligible for an Archdiocesan tuition assistance award.
Families are encouraged to complete the FACTS Application Process by the last day in April in order to be eligible for a St. Maria Goretti tuition assistance award. Applications received after this date may not qualify for the maximum grant amount.
FACTS will process one application per household, and it must be done online. Faxed or copied applications will not be accepted.
West Virginia Hope Scholarship
West Virginia parents have an opportunity to build an individual learning experience that works best for their child. The Hope Scholarship Program, created by the West Virginia Legislature, allows K-12 students to receive financial assistance that can be used for tuition, fees, and other expenses.
Students who receive the Hope Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year will no longer be enrolled full-time in public school, but will instead enroll in a participating nonpublic school or choose an individualized instructional program.
To qualify for the Hope Scholarship Program in the 2022-2023 academic year, a student must be a West Virginia resident and be one of the following:
• Eligible for or required to be enrolled in kindergarten
• Enrolled full-time in public elementary or secondary school in West Virginia for the entire instructional term of the 2021-2022 academic year
• Enrolled full-time and attending a public elementary or secondary school in West Virginia for at least 45 calendar days during the current instructional term at the time of application

Tuition Assistance Grants
We offer tuition assistance to students demonstrating financial need. Tuition assistance grants are renewed annually. Families are required to apply and demonstrate financial eligibility each year. Families can now apply for tuition assistance grants for both 1) tuition assistance from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and 2) tuition assistance from St Maria Goretti Catholic High School using FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.
Referral Grant
When a new student enrolls at Goretti and they were referred to our school by a current parent, the referring family will receive a one-time $1,000 tuition grant. The new family must indicate on their admission application which family referred them in order for them to receive the award. The award will be applied to the school year of the new family’s acceptance.
Military Grant
When a new student, who enrolls at Goretti, is the child of an active military member, they will receive a one-time $500 financial grant.
Other Financial Aid
We also sponsor a SCRIP program where participating families can apply their savings to tuition.
