In the spirit of last month’s Catholic Schools Week, St. Mary Catholic School & St. Maria Goretti High School partnered and held a Community Care Drive to benefit Reach and Casa, Inc. of Washington County. Reach operates a Day Resource Center along with a Cold Weather Shelter while Casa, Inc. provides help to individuals and families that have suffered domestic violence and other abuse.
Students delivered the donations, which totaled to over 1,000 items, to the organizations during the week of February 9.
The Community Care Drive supported the theme of this year’s Catholic Schools Week, which was “Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.” Students designed boxes for the drive’s drop-off locations, which were placed at both St. Mary and Goretti and at certain masses during the month of January at St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Hagerstown.
Thank you to everyone who supported this effort!
