St. Maria Goretti High School’s Student Government Association (SGA) recently organized a fundraiser to support students at the Marshall Street School in Hagerstown. The SGA held an out-of-uniform day where students made a donation to be out of uniform and wear their favorite Christmas and holiday-themed sweaters. A total of $875 was raised with which the SGA purchased gifts and delivered the gifts to the Marshall Street School in December.

Goretti’s SGA also participates in the Micah’s Backpack program by “adopting” five students at the Marshall Street School for the school year. On a weekly basis, SGA members deliver backpacks for the weekend that are filled with food for these five students at the Marshall Street School, which supports youth and adults with special needs.
