Celebrating Vocations: Meet Msgr. Jarboe

Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe is a native of the Catonsville area of Baltimore and the eldest of three sons of John K. and (the late) Alice M. Jarboe.

Msgr. Jarboe graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School, what is now Loyola University Maryland, with a B.A. in Business Administration, and Saint Mary’s Seminary & University, Baltimore with M.Div. and S.T.B. degrees.

Ordained on May 10, 1986, Msgr. Jarboe served as Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception Church,
Towson and Saint Mark Church, Catonsville. He then served as Associate Director and Director of the Archdiocesan Division of Clergy Personnel, after which he participated in the three-month Institute for Continuing Theological Education at the Pontifical North American College, Rome. He then served as Pastor of Holy Trinity, Good Shepherd and Crucifixion Parishes in Glen Burnie and Rector of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore, before beginning his service as Pastor of Saint Ann Church, Hagerstown in August 2014.
