From the Herald Mail Sports Soccer Notebook, Tues., Sept. 6: Player to Watch – Emma Ober (St. Maria Goretti)  “These are eventful times for Ober. This summer she committed to Division I Virginia Military. On Thursday, when Goretti travels to Saint James, Ober will be on familiar turf but in a different uniform. She played goalie for the Saints the last two years, helping them to the IPSL title and an 11-2-2 record last fall while earning Herald-Mail all-county second-team honors. At her new school, the junior has been perfect so far for the Gaels (3-0), who have yet to surrender a goal entering today’s game against Bishop Walsh.”
