Coach Kocher enters her second season at the helm of the Girls Lacrosse Program. Last year the team went 6-5.

Coach Kocher comes to Goretti after a 2-year stint as Assistant Women’s Lacrosse and Field Hockey Coach at Houghton College in Houghton, NY. At Houghton, Kocher (Meassick) spearheaded goalie instruction. Her main responsibilities included individual player development, game day coaching, scouting, and recruiting. A 4-year program in the competitive Empire 8 Division III Conference, Houghton, at the helm of Head Coach Amanda Zacchigna and Kocher, improved the program to have the most wins in its history, including 5 players to conference awards. She also worked as the Assistant Coach for the Field Hockey program.

Kocher is a 2014 graduate of Houghton College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Communication and minors in Youth Ministry and Sports Ministry. One of her favorite memories includes a team mission’s trip to Trinidad and Tobago where they competed against the Trinidad National Field Hockey Team. During her career, Kocher was nominated to the NFHCA National Academic Squad as well as the Empire 8 President’s List. She also served as a member of Houghton’s NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Kocher grew up in Mount Airy, MD and attended South Carroll High School where she played field hockey and lacrosse. She currently works as the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator for St. Maria Goretti High School and moderates the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club. She and her husband reside in Waynesboro, PA. Coach Kocher looks to develop players who are successful on the field, but also in all areas of their life.
