STAND Training

Many of you participate as volunteers in many of the programs, athletics, and other activities offered by St. Maria Goretti High School.  The Archdiocese of Baltimore and St. Maria Goretti High School are committed to providing a safe environment for children entrusted to the school’s care.
As such, the STAND Program was created to meet this commitment. This Program applies to all who are employed by the school, i.e., faculty, staff, bus drivers, coaches, etc., as well as to our large extended community of volunteers.

All SMGHS volunteers, ages 18 and over, who have substantial contact with children and youth must meet the following requirements:

A packet including all required forms may be picked up in the Business Office, or you may click the links above.  Training sessions are available by going online at http://childsafeeducation.com/baltimore-archdiocese.html.  (Username is stmariagoretti and the password is archbalt.)  All completed forms including the online Certificate of Completion must be delivered to the Business Office.

For those of you who have been trained at another school or parish and currently volunteer at SMGHS, it is now required that in addition to a copy of your certification, you must also complete the Archdiocese of Baltimore Volunteer Application form and provide three references for ‘service at a 2nd site or a transfer of service’.

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer and to comply with the Archdiocesan guidelines to provide a safe environment for our children.
