STAND Training
Many of you participate as volunteers in many of the programs, athletics, and other activities offered by St. Maria Goretti High School. The Archdiocese of Baltimore and St. Maria Goretti High School are committed to providing a safe environment for children entrusted to the school’s care.
As such, the STAND Program was created to meet this commitment. This Program applies to all who are employed by the school, i.e., faculty, staff, bus drivers, coaches, etc., as well as to our large extended community of volunteers.
All SMGHS volunteers, ages 18 and over, who have substantial contact with children and youth must meet the following requirements:
- Complete the Application for Volunteer Services
- Review the Code of Conduct for Church Personnel
- Review the Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth
- Complete the Volunteer Criminal History Screening Consent Form
- Complete the Driving Record Consent Form (only if you will be driving for a parish or school)
- Have three references checked Stand Reference Letter
- Take the Online STAND Training
A packet including all required forms may be picked up in the Business Office, or you may click the links above. Training sessions are available by going online at http://childsafeeducation.com/baltimore-archdiocese.html. (Username is stmariagoretti and the password is archbalt.) All completed forms including the online Certificate of Completion must be delivered to the Business Office.
