Grant & Aid

Apply for Tuition Assistance Grants

St. Maria Goretti High School understands the financial commitment and sacrifice families undertake in deciding to send their children to a Catholic school. Although paying for education is first and foremost the responsibility of a family, schools and parishes, as well as the Archdiocese of Baltimore, devote significant funds each year to financial aid programs that help assist families. In turn, our school community benefits by attracting students who otherwise would not be able to attend.

FACTS

FACTS is the tuition management and grant and aid platform used by the schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. All families are asked to create an account with FACTS to manage their tuition payments. The grant and aid application is housed on the same platform for every school, parish, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore assistance. Therefore, a family need apply only once for possible support from these various sources. Read more information about FACTS.

Tuition Assistance Grants

We offer tuition assistance to students demonstrating financial need. Tuition assistance grants are renewed annually. Families are required to apply and demonstrate financial eligibility each year. Families can now apply for tuition assistance grants for both 1) tuition assistance from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and 2) tuition assistance from St Maria Goretti High School using FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

Deadlines for Filing:
  1. Families need to complete the FACTS Application Process by February 28, 2018 in order to be eligible for an Archdiocesan tuition assistance award.
  2. Families are encouraged to complete the FACTS Application Process by May 31, 2018 in order to be eligible for  a St. Maria Goretti tuition assistance award. Applications received after this date may not qualify for the maximum grant amount.

FACTS will process one application per household, and it must be done online. Faxed or copied applications will not be accepted.

Other Financial Aid

In addition to these programs, St. Maria Goretti has a successful Bingo program where parents who volunteer may be eligible for additional financial aid. Please contact Linda Becker or Valerie Green, our Bingo Chairs, to volunteer at bingo@goretti.org.

We also sponsor a SCRIP program where participating families can apply their savings to tuition.

Please contact Director of Finance, JoAnn Hevey, with any questions.
